Sunday Worship Service
We are a casual group of people from various walks of life. Come as you are and how you enjoy worshiping the Lord.
Our pastors preach through books of the Bible and share the responsibility by rotating every other week.
God has blessed The Gathering with talented musicians who lead us in worship via a blended style of traditional and contemporary worship songs.
We partake of the Lord’s Supper weekly as a time of remembrance and celebration of what Christ has done on our behalf.
There is a basket available to place your tithe and offerings in, if you cannot locate the basket, just ask a pastor to point you in the right direction.
You may be wondering about children’s programs. We are not against age-appropriate ministry. We love all the little ones in our congregation and understand that they learn and express themselves differently than adults. However, we think that children worshiping together with their families is a beautiful and right way of coming together on the Lord’s Day. This is a principal we see in scripture (Josh. 8:35) and we believe best represents the picture given to us of a New Testament Church. Our congregation understands that children make noise and get distracted. That’s okay. Having the children with us throughout the whole service gives everyone a chance to love, serve, and bear with one another (Eph. 4:2). We echo David’s song of praise in Psalm 145:4: “One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.” We also understand that young children may not be used to remaining in the service the entire time. With this in mind there is a nursery space available on Sunday Mornings for parents to take advantage of if they need to step out during the service.
